Most people in the West have a simplified understanding of karma: do good things, good things come back to you. Do bad things, suffer the consequences. While there is truth in this, it barely scratches the surface of what karma actually is and how it operates in your life.
In the shamanic view, karma is not a moral accounting system run by some cosmic judge. It is simply the law of resonance — the principle that like attracts like across time. Every unresolved emotional wound, every broken agreement, every trauma that has not been fully processed creates an energetic imprint. That imprint continues to attract matching experiences until it is healed at the root.
I will explain karma in a lot more depth, and answer any questions you have.
